By exclusive arrangement with Pitcairn Islands, New Zealand Mint has created this stunning coin collectors set depicting Master’s Mate Fletcher Christian (the leader of the mutiny aboard the  Bounty) from the legendary voyage of the H.M.A.V. Bounty.

• Pure 99.9% Silver with selective Gold Gilding

• Limited to 3,000 coins only

• Each set includes a Silver and glass vial of sand - taken from the exact location on the ocean floor which the H.M.A.V. Bounty rested upon sinking

Obverse

The obverse features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, sovereign of the Commonwealth and the Pitcairn Islands, along with the year of issue (2010) and the denomination of $2.

Reverse

The reverse features a high quality Gold-Gilded engraved image depicting a portrait of Master’s Mate Fletcher Christian, and is minted with a finely engraved border design.

Limited Mintage

No more than 3,000 Gold Gilded Coins will be issued by New Zealand Mint.
